Directions

Feeding Directions Description:

Sup-R-Block 2N is scientifically formulated to be fed free-choice to mature beef cows or sheep along with adequate grass and/or hay.

1. Consumption of Sup-R-Block 2N should be approximately 1.5 – 2.5 pounds per head per day for cattle and 0.5 to 1.0 pounds per head per day for sheep.
2. Have one 500-lb. Sup-R-Block 2N available for each 20 to 25 head of cattle or 50 to 75 head of sheep. Have one 200-lb. Sup-R-Block 2N available for each 10 to 15 head of cattle or 25 to 40 head of sheep. Have one 50-lb. Sup-R-Block 2N available for each 4 to 5 head of cattle or 10 to 15 head of sheep.
3. Several weeks prior to and during feeding of Sup-R-Block 2N, provide a good quality mineral supplement that contains phosphorus.
4. A good source of roughage or forage (all they can consume) should be provided at all times.
5. Sup-R-Block 2N (500-lb. and 200-lb.) should be fed in the base of the box on well-drained ground.Feed Sup-R-Block 2N (50-lb. ) in a trough to prevent wastage. Feed Sup-R-Block 2N near the areas where cattle or sheep loaf and/or near water source.
6. In large pastures, Sup-R-Block 2N should be available in more than one location.
7. Provide an unlimited supply of clean, fresh water.

Special Considerations:
Consumption of Sup-R-Block 2N will vary depending on quality of forage, condition of cattle or sheet, previous feeding programs and Sup-R-Block 2N feeding location. Cattle or sheet need to adapt to Sup-R-Block 2N before the correct  consumption is reached. If consumption is low, examine forage quality and the block feeding location. If consumption is higher than desired, the quantity/quality of forage may need to be increased. The blocks can be placed further away from the loafing or watering area, reduce the number of blocks available to the cattle or sheep and/or switch to Sup-R-Block 2-HL.
