Our History

Serving Our Communities Since 1987

1987

Old Mill Country Store's flagship location was founded by Kevin and Becky McDowell in the beautiful valley of Ellensburg, Washington, in February of 1987. The original store milled, bagged, and sold bulk livestock feed and supplies to the community of Kittitas County.

2003
After building our success and loyal customer base for over 15 years, Old Mill Country Store underwent our first significant change. In 2003 the Mill undertook a Purina Premier Store renovation—adding 5,000 square feet and a multitude of new products.

2018
In 2018, Old Mill Country Store incorporated and merged with Cascade Animal Care Products of Yakima, Washington. The merger resulted in the addition of our second store in Yakima, which includes a wholesale department, and a pharmacy to fill Veterinary Rx scripts.

Present
Now, Old Mill stocks everything from tack, to pet supplies, to vaccinations, medication, clothing, outdoor power equipment and livestock equipment.
